First and foremost, I LOVE MY JOB. Not many people can say they love what they do, but I do and my passion comes through. If you speak to any of my past clients, they will tell you my passion shows in everything I do from the first point of contact through the shoot and down to inspection and delivery of products. But just because someone has a passion doesn't mean, he/she is a great photographer.
My main focus is providing you with a service that is above and beyond from exchanging text messages with you while you are shopping for clothes or going through your closet for advice to being a high skilled retouching artist to having my lab remake prints if I am not pleased upon inspection.
My clients become friends because I take the time to connect and get to know you and I do whatever it takes to ensure you are happy with the entire experience.
I have the best equipment and I know how to use it! I also have backup equipment in the event something goes wrong.
With over 15 years of experience, I know how to pose and light every body type to ensure my client looks their absolute best. My business is my baby. It is my career. It is what helps put food on my family's table. This is not a side hustle. My mission is to create the most beautiful photograph you have ever seen of yourself through lighting techniques, posing, styling and connecting with you to capture your true personality.
If you are looking for stunning portraits of your senior along with beautiful artwork, prints or folio boxes, I am your photographer!
My first senior season was 2008. My first year I did about 10. In 2019, I did just about 90. It was so busy I am changing the way I schedule sessions this year!
Quite simply, I am in my 15th year of business and it has been built on the referrals of happy clients.
Below are the typical deadlines of the schools I work with the most but please be sure to confirm with your yearbook staff as dates could change:
These schools require seniors to use the school's contracted photographer for yearbook photos but come to me privately to create personal portraits for their home, family and friends:
You can book your senior portrait session as early as the May before your senior year. You typically will receive an added benefit like an extra print credit if you book your shoot for May or June.
If you play a fall sport, it is HIGHLY recommended you have your session completed before July 31 if possible because if we get a stretch of bad weather, it can become very challenging to reschedule with practice and work schedules as seniors lead extremely busy lives. Please know I have never not gotten someone done, but if we can avoid it, let's plan on that.
Early October Deadline (Walpole)
Aim to have your session completed between May and August. September starts to push it.
Late October/Early November (Medfield and Dover Sherbron)
Aim to have your session completed between May - September.
Late November/Early Decemeber (Norwood and Dedham
Aim to have your session completed between May - October.
The location of your session depends upon which session. You can choose outdoor, studio or both!
If you book the Ultimate or Standard session, you have a choice of location within 10 miles of 02081. More than 10 miles a travel fee will apply. Many, many seniors choose Bird Park or Adams Farm. But if you want to be different, let's get creative! I have lots of ideas I am happy to share with you during your consultation. Even downtown Walpole has a lot of cool options and we can walk from the studio. Give thought to places that are special to you such as your home, the baseball field, etc.
Outdoor sessions take place two hours before sunset or early morning beginning usually around 7:45 AM before the sun gets too high. Studio sessions are held between 10:30 - 3:00 for the best in studio natural light. If studio lighting is used, any time of day works!
Sessions are held Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays. Tuesday and Fridays are held for make up dates in case of inclement weather. If a Saturday is the only option, there is a $75 fee applied to the creative fee.
In addition to a photographer, I feel as though I have become a meteorologist over the years of watching the radar and as New Englanders, we are use to changing weather.
My ideal weather for all my outdoor sessions is blue skies with big puffy white clouds. I am not a photograph who likes overcast days. People always say "I thought photographers liked overcast days!" Well, not me. I do not like the type of light it sheds.
I cannot get a perfect day, every day but if I think for one second it won't work, I will NOT hesitate to reschedule. So if it is 90 and hot and humind or a dark and gloomy with no rain, or pouring cats and dogs, I will reach out to reschedule.
I do not book rain dates. I hold a couple days a week open on my calendar for such makeups. I've been operating this way for over a decade and it always works. I watch the weather constantly so if the upcoming week looks messy, I will be in contact about making a back up plan! So don't you worry, I got you covered!
All my sessions include wardrobe consultation. With the Ultimate session, I will come to your house and go through your closet with you! Or if you don't want that, you can come to the studio. With the Traditional session, you have the option of an in person wardrobe consultation at the studio or via the phone. If you do the mini, I will send you a list of wardrobe tips and you also have the option for a telephone consultation!
Wardrobe can make or break the session so take your time to plan. You do not have to go shopping but it is a great excuse to buy a few new outfits!!
Also, when you book with me, you have direct access to me and my cell phone. So I encourage you to take pictures of your outfits, preferably on you and text me phone pics so I can give you advice!
Of course! I encourage you to bring someone that will help you relax and have fun. In fact, if you’re under 18, I insist that you bring someone. You may want to warn your guest because I often enlist parents/friends/siblings in holding reflectors or act goofy behind me. :) If you’d like to have some photos with your friend, you might be interested in the Ultimate or Traditional Senior Session. You parent is welcome to jump in a few shots no matter which session you choose.
Most importantly, I want you to look like YOU in your portraits.
Professional hair and makeup is NOT required but highly recommended. You will love your proofs even more as a little makeup goes a long way and make your features pop even more!
So even if you do not wear any makeup, I still recommend at minimum a base foundation, mascara and a natural lip color to enhance and emphasize your features. I do not want you not looking like yourself
All final images are retouched but retouched proofs depends upon the session you choose:
There are numerous reasons to meet for a pre-session consultation if you are choosing The Ultimate or The Traditional Session.
Choose one of three sessions that best suits your needs, wants and budget!
The Ultimate - $450
The Traditional Session - $225
The All Inclusive Mini Session - $395
